D. Fernando de Meneses, 2nd Count of Ericeira, born in Lisbon, born on November 27, 1614, was the last Governor of Tangier, having left for that Square on February 17, 1656, remaining there until being handed over to England in 1662. He died on June 22, 1699. The work was published posthumously by the efforts of Miguel Lopes Ferreira, the printer. Rare and sought after.
