FIRST EDITION of this treatise on natural philosophy, written by Descartes between 1632 and 1633 and published posthumously in 1664. The treatise on the world consists of two parts, Treatise on Light, which addresses the theory of light, and a "Discours du mouvement Local" in which the physiology of man is addressed, describing his anatomy and a theory of blood circulation. Very rare, important and valuable.
