First edition. Marino Miguel Franzini, born in Lisbon in 1779, son of Miguel Franzini, an Italian who was invited to be a lecturer at the Faculty of Mathematics of Coimbra in 1772 and later master of Prince D. José and Infante D. João, later D. João VI . Marino held a wide range of prominent positions in Portuguese politics, having been Brigadier of the Royal Navy Brigade, Director of the Military Archive, Peer of the Kingdom, Deputy to the Constituent Courts of 1821 and 1837, Minister and Secretary of State for Finance Affairs, etc.
