Complete collection of this extensive work on the history of Brazil. Initially designed to deal exclusively with Rio de Janeiro, it ended up including the territories of Pernambuco, Bahia, Minas Gerais, Mato Grosso, Goiás, São Paulo, Santa Catarina, Rio Grande and Colónia do Sacramento. Composed in total of nine volumes, the work was composed from exhaustive consultation of many ecclesiastical and civil archives. Due to the loss of many of these documents, Pizarro's work gained importance, today being "an inexhaustible source of information and data" [Ruben Borba de Moraes]. Rare and important.
