FIRST EDITION of one of the most important works of Portuguese literature. With the court wandering between Almeirim and Lisbon, Garcia de Resende began to compile the texts for this work. Composed of texts by more than three hundred authors, including Garcia de Resende himself, it is a very important repository of Portuguese lyrics of the time, dated between 1449 and 1516. "In a large part of the body of the work, there are sheets composed and printed in different moments, for reasons that reason still does not know.", and was also the target of censorship. [cf.
