Small pamphlet of memoirs of Manuel Inácio Martins Pamplona Corte Real, first Count of Subserra, on the events that led him to be condemned to death for collaborationism, having been amnestyed in the year of publication of this booklet. The author, born in Angra do Heroísmo, was an influential military and politician, having participated in several battles as part of the Russian army and the Portuguese Legion for Napoleon. After his amnesty, he was an influential politician, ending his career imprisoned by order of D. Miguel, dying in Fort Elvas. According to Inocêncio, an Appendix of 16 pp. which this copy does not have. Very rare and interesting.
