FIRST EDITION. Very rare. Published in the context of the Restoration wars, the work is a Portuguese edition of the pamphlet published a few months earlier in Barcelona and refers to the revolt in Catalonia against Castile at the same time as the Restoration of Portuguese independence. In all, four leaflets were published concerning the Revolt of Catalonia in Portugal at the behest of D. João IV and served as a form of propaganda against Castile. Likewise, in Barcelona, pamphlets related to the Restoration were published with the same purpose. This work recounts the events at the Battle of Montjuic that represented the beginning of the Guerra Dels Segadors, a conflict that ended up involving France, Castile and Catalonia. The revolt began on the day of Corpus Christi, with several peasants revolting, at the same time as the viceroy of Catalonia was assassinated. The second cover in the Lisbon edition has an engraving in the exact center representing the Body of Christ in a hostasory flanked by two angels holding hands.
