First book edition of this work, originally published in a periodical with the title «Journal d'un officier français au service de don Miguel, dans les campagnes de 1833 et 1834», added by its author who assumes authorship in the dedication made to the companions of weapons. Illustrated at the end with a fold-out map of Portugal marked with the positioning of troops and military campaigns, the work describes in detail the liberal struggles of those years. Rare.
