FIRST YEAR of an interesting publication favorable to the liberal movement in Portugal. According to Inocêncio, its only editor was Pedro Alexandre Cavroé. Born in Lisbon, despite his origins linked to the carpenter's trade, he obtained some studies, even completing preparatory studies to enter the University, something he never managed to achieve. A fervent defender of liberalism, he was forced to go to Brazil in 1828 and was welcomed by Pedro I. He returned to Portugal a few years later, held the position of Demonstrator at the Conservatory of Arts and Crafts, and died in 1844, the victim of a stroke. leg fracture. Very rare.
