Beautiful 16th century edition of this very important work for Spanish culture. Printed for the first time in 1484, the major work of Alfonso de la Torre had as its main sources the works of Maimónides, Saint Isidore, Boethius, among others. The first part deals with the Liberal Arts, Metaphysics and Natural Sciences and the second with Moral Philosophy. This edition, with illustrations printed in the text, is a fine example of the quality of the Cromberger work. Very rare.
