Description of the process in the Council of War filed against Rodrigo José Ferreira Lobo due to events related to an encounter with the Algerians, in the Strait of Gibraltar, on May 4, 1810. Rodrigo José Ferreira Lobo was a naval officer who, among others, commanded the frigate Minerva in the squadron that took the Royal family to Brazil. After being found guilty at the War Council, he ended up acquitted by D. João, alleging procedural irregularities. Rare.
