First edition. Inocêncio, in his first two articles referring to the Art of Stealing, deals only with the problematic of the authorship of the work, today irrefutably taken from the pen of the great preacher and written by one of his many opponents who appeared before and after his death. However, Brito Aranha, in the supplement, gives us more information about the various editions of this work that have a composition error that is important to mention. The volume moves from page 192 to 197. Page 192 ends with the rubric "to", two lines missing from what should have been the next page 193. The text missing from this edition – "so that it may be known how far they can be extended, and where they can shrink" – was published in subsequent editions from 1744 onwards. Complete. Rare.
