Reissue of this esteemed and celebrated work by Fernão Lopes de Castanheda, according to the first edition of 1551, whose rarity in the first book is well known and whose study by Ernesto do Canto scalpels when comparing the first and second editions of this work. The consecrated introductory studies integrated in an appendix in the first volume of this issue substantially enrich the present edition.
