According to Inocêncio, it was with this work that an elegiac poem was printed for the first time. It is beautifully illustrated with an engraved frontispiece and 16 allegorical prints, in addition to a vignette for each "Night", all engraved with chisels by the best Portuguese artists of the time. Highly sought after.
