FIRST Volume of the second edition, added and amended by the author, second volume of the first. The work is a historical treatise on the Province of the Conception of the Franciscans or the Regular Observance. The work has a first part dedicated to the origins of the Order's presence in Portugal, followed by the founding of the Province of Conceição in 1704, then dealing with the history of each of its convents. Thus, the first volume deals with the convents of Santa Maria de Mosteiró, Santa Maria da Insua de Caminha, São Francisco de Viana and São Francisco de Orgens. The second volume of Santo António de Ponte de Lima, São Francisco de Lamego, São Francisco da Torre de Moncorvo, São Francisco de Vila Real and Santo António de Viana. Very rare.
