Facsimile edition of a manuscript purchased in 1934 from Livraria Coelho, dating from the first half of the 17th century on the fauna and flora of Brazil where Friar Cristóvão de Lisboa arrived in 1624. Brother of Manuel Severim de Faria, he traveled through the interior areas where , probably gathered elements for the elaboration of this work. Manuel Múrias, responsible for the Archive and for the acquisition of the manuscript writes: “This is indeed a work of exceptional importance for clarifying the Portuguese part in the study of the natural history of Brazil”.
