First edition of this numismatics treatise, the first in which coins and medals are used as illustrations of historical events. The author, a numismatist and genealogist, owned an extraordinary collection of coins. From there, Johann Jacob Luck (1574-1653) presents the history of Europe in the 16th century, presenting the coins and medals in chronological order.
